Latitude & Big Chill.. thank you!

A huge thank you to all the tea tent staff, DJs & of course the dancers & tea drinkers who visited our Make Us A Brew tea tent at the Latitude & Big Chill festivals. You can hear my DJ set with Kelvin Brown from Saturday night at the Big Chill tea tent here. Your tea drinking also helped raise an impressive £950 for Francis House Children's Hospice.

providing your entertainment

hosted by MC Kwasi (fresh from hosting the Jazz World stage at Glastonbury, and the Garden festival in Croatia)

Dr. Sid (Speakeasy/Whim Wham, Manchester) the good doctor will happily transport you back in time with his ancient selection of pre-war Jazz, Jump Blues & 50’s R&B
Jim Dawson (Yorkshire Pudding/Manchester) Jim is Mr. Scruff’s VJ, but is also no slouch behind the  decks, and is particularly partial to Afrobeat, and a Yorkshire pudding.
Kelvin Brown (Electric Chair/Eyes Down) Kelvin's healthily broad taste in music & fearless selections will keep you running up to the DJ booth to ask “what on earth is this tune?”
Doctor D (The Soul Club, Manchester) learnt his craft at the seminal Reno club in Manchester in the early 1980’s. He is not a real doctor, but does own a first aid kit.
Mikey D.O.N. (Krispy/Sunz Of Axis/Unity Radio) a legend in hip-hop & reggae circles, but Mikey's years of experience & wide musical tastes extend far beyond that!
Nick The Record (Soul Ascendents/Lifeforce Japan/DJFriendly records) Record dealer extraordinaire Nick is one half of the Soul Ascendents & regularly travels to Japan for his legendary ‘Lifeforce’ parties.
Ole Smokey (Garden Festival Croatia/Bulletproof San Francisco)  Mr Mellow himself, he is the perfect choice for your musical breakfast. He had been known to take boiled eggs to festivals.
Andy Barlow (Restless Funk radio, CAM FM) Mr. Barlow has flawless taste in music & real ale, and will be demostrating the former (and possibly a bit of the latter) this weekend.
Yousef Lamlum is a professional jazz wrestler, and will be donning his leotard to present you with some of his weightiest vinyl nuggets.
